Our Father in Heaven
This first phrase of the Lord’s Prayer is crucial for understanding our relationship to God and the basis on which we pray to him. We are adopted into God’s family not because of our good works, but solely because of the righteousness and faithfulness of Christ Jesus. Because God is our Father, we can have ultimate confidence when we ask God anything in the name of Jesus.
Questions for the Road:
1. In what ways have you projected the image of an earthly father onto your Heavenly Father?
2. What TRUE qualities of our Heavenly Father need to be your focus?
3. How will you make an effort to remind yourself daily of how your Heavenly Father actually sees you?
PRAY LIKE THIS SERIES: Many feel paralyzed when it comes to prayer. We overthink it, don’t feel adequate, or guilty for not doing it enough. But Jesus teaches a simple, yet profound way to go deep with our prayers.
Join us for our summer series, 'Pray Like This', as we dive deep into the prayer our Lord Jesus taught his disciples to pray.
