IOWA MEN'S GATHERING

Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle; he is my steadfast love and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield and he in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me. Psalm 144:1-2 ESV

SEPTEMBER 20-22, 2024

Join us for Warrior Weekend, a time for men be encouraged, challenged and inspired to take hold of the Warrior's Cause.
This weekend will have times of worship and practical teaching, opportunities for engaging community, & spaces to relax and have fun!

2024 THEME: ACT LIKE MEN

Men… a word that has changed in definition and meaning since it all started. What does it mean to be a man? More importantly, what does it mean to be a man of God? 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (ESV) says, "Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love." Our families, friends, and communities are in desperate need for men to embrace the calling that God has placed on their lives. Men who long to be more like Jesus. Men who embrace community. Men who rise to the occasion, and men whose lives are deep mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

At Warrior Weekend 2024, we will look at this challenge to be watchful, faithful, strong, loving, and act like men. This isn’t a call for bravado, it’s a call to be like Jesus. To own up to our mistakes and start the process of allowing Him to get past the surface level of our lives. Inviting all men to engage in the redemption and restoration of our manhood.

2024 SPEAKER: Pastor Dustin Black

Dustin currently serves his community as Pastor of Grace Foursquare Church in Rhinelander, WI, and as Chaplain for the local police and sheriff’s office, and was certified as a wild-land firefighter last year. His heart is for creating connections within communities, helping deepen relationships, and creating spaces for people to feel seen, heard, and known.

Dustin has been in some sort of ministry most of his life. He has been in vocational ministry for 20+ years.  As a third-generation pastor, he has seen the ins and outs, and ups and downs of the Church. He has also witnessed the deep wounds that the Church can inflict, but also how it can be a conduit to greater healing. Dustin's desire is that church becomes the place where people find that healing and hope.

Dustin's amazing wife keeps him grounded. Their three kids keep them busy with all the sports,  and he is always down for a cup of good coffee and conversation.
