The mission of the Heartland School of Ministry is to equip and empower men and women called to serve in marketplace ministry or the local church.

The focus is on training men and women who are involved in ministry and are called, or are beginning to sense a call, to serve more fully and effectively as servant leaders in ministry in the Local and International Foursquare church.
Emphasis is on providing training to those who have proven experience as leaders.

ONE YEAR CERTIFICATE OF CHRISTIAN MINISTRY

PROGRAM

CURRICULUM

Courses are offered on the basis of three twelve week trimesters
(Fall, Winter, Spring)
Two five-week courses per trimester
One weekend (Thursday night, Saturday) course per trimester
One Saturday seminar or directed study per trimester
Mentoring Internship each trimester (For-Credit Students Only)
The purpose of the curriculum is to fulfill the following objectives:
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the Bible
• Equip leadership in the local church
• To prepare students for further education
• To prepare students for licensed ministry
• To meet continuing education requirements for ministers

FALL TRIMESTER

(September-November)
Old Testament Survey (2.5 units)
New Testament Survey (2.5 units)
Biblical Interpretation: How to Study Your Bible
(1.5 units)

WINTER TRIMESTER

(January-March)
Biblical Theology: the Kingdom of God (2.5 unit
Christian Spiritual Formation & Disciplines (2.5 unit
Disciple of All Nations (1.5 units)

SPRING TRIMESTER

(April-June)
Communication: Biblical Teaching
& Preaching (2.5 units)
Church History (2.5 units)

ADDITIONAL UNITS

Saturday Seminars (3 required)
Directed Study (1 required: 1.5 units)
Ministry Mentoring Internships
(3 required: 1 unit each; For-Credit Students)
