Holiday Fruitcake

It's Not Natural.

Around the holiday season, we do our best to manufacture the themes of Christmas, and often end up worse than we started. What we need isn’t natural–it’s supernatural. And it starts with yielding to the power of the Holy Spirit to produce real fruit in our lives.

As we celebrate the season of Advent, we will invert the traditional order of the weekly themes, beginning with “Love”, THE primary fruit of the spirit, moving to the “Joy” that is flows forward, the “Peace” we can experience and ending with the real “Hope” we have today, while identifying and allowing the Fruit of the Spirit to work in us this Christmas season.

November 30th - A Love That Doesn’t Stop
It has to start here, or what follows won’t work.

December 7th - A Joy That Shines Brightest
It’s less about what happens to you, and more about what happens through you.

December 14th - A Peace That Doesn’t Make Sense
Perfect peace doesn’t mean everything settles down. It means you’ve found the right place to stand.

December 21st - A Hope That Looks Foolish
Why is it that at the end of seasons that we reflect on how it began? What if the end is the beginning? And how do we just sit and let that happen?
